Max W. Weldon's Obituary
Max W. Weldon, age 88, of Cincinnati, Iowa, died Thursday, August 18, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, Iowa. He was born the son of the late Edward B. Weldon and the late Ada (Barr) Weldon on March 31, 1917 in Cincinnati, Iowa. He attended Cincinnati School. He was employed as a mail messenger and worked at the Produce Station before beginning a long career in farming southwest of Cincinnati, Iowa.He was united in marriage to Ardyth D. Ewing on October 17, 1940 in Lancaster, Missouri.Max was preceded in death by: his parents; a brother, Gary Weldon; sisters, Ruth Morrison, Esther Lancaster, and Alice Irene Weldon in infancy.He is survived by: his wife, Ardyth; daughter Donna Mullenix and her husband, Gerald, of Cincinnati, Iowa; sisters Audrey Little of Farmersburg, Iowa; Margaret Skronski of Rock Island, Illinois; Betty Huffman of Pensacola, Florida; and Greta Gaull of Milan, Illinois; two grandchildren, Randy Mullenix of Cincinnati, Iowa and Barb Mullenix of Des Moines, Iowa; three great-grandchildren, Brandi Flickinger and her husband, Jason, of Des Moines, Iowa; Macey Mullenix and Jamie Mullenix of Unionville, Missouri.Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Pastor Kay Singley officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2005 from 1:00 till 8:00 P.M., with the family present from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.Memorials have been established to the First Christian Church, First Responders, and Pleasant Hill Cemetery Avenue of Flags, all in Cincinnati, Iowa and may be left at or mailed to the To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Max W.
