Max Ewing, 51 of Centerville passed away Monday October 29, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. Max was born on October 13, 1961 to Matthew & Maxine (Scott) Ewing. He received his education from Centerville High School graduating in 1980. Max was a caretaker as a part of Home Health Care. He was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Centerville. Max enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching the Oakland Raiders. He also enjoyed his time as a kid's baseball and football coach. Max is survived by his mother Maxine Ewing of Centerville, two sisters; Margery Davison of Centerville, Marilyn J. Middleton(Kelly) of Centerville, brother, Matthew T. Ewing III of Albia, nephew, Bob McGrann(Rona) of Des Moines, two nieces, Sarah and Becky Ewing of Centerville. He was preceded in death by his father Matthew Ewing II, seven uncles; Bobby Lee Scott, who was stillborn, Billy Joe Scott, Luther Caster, Bernard Casady, Raymond Bennett, John Ewing, Dale Derby four aunts; Lois Caster, Jane Bennett, Rose Scott, Bernice Derby, four cousins; Daryl Tisue, Marty & Norman McClurg and Warren Casady, two brothers-in-law; Tim Logan & Jeff Davison. A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Main Station Cemetery north of Rathbun with Al Cooper officiating.
