Any time I sent a birthday card or letter, he always responded almost immediately with a handwritten letter. I had a lot of admiration for him.
Maurice Stamps has a warm spot in many hearts. He always made you feel your interest was his. My dad had many fun and eventful times with Maurice. A great loss to all left here on earth. What a legendary man.

Mr. Stamps was a good man. He possessed a rare combination of intellect, compassion, integrity, sense of fairness, and responsibility to others that made him loved and respected by those those lives he touched. He will be solely missed.

So many memories; one is a short term secretarial job when he was principal as part of my business classes & felt so honored. Was in class of 1965 along with Nancy. Mr Stamps came to my classroom for many years and told about the depression and his adventures in World War II. He played an important role in the Pacific theater and never even went through basic training! A wonderful mind and gentleman. Susan McDanel
