Maude Flowers, 91 of Centerville passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at her home. Maude was born to William and Mahala (Moon) Stogdill in Monterey, Iowa. She received her education from Moulton High School, graduating in 1941. Maude married Raymond Flowers on November 27, 1941 in Lancaster, Missouri, She owned and operated the Fashion Shop on the Centerville square until retirement in 1991. Maude was a member of the Centerville Eastern Star Chapter #239. She enjoyed cooking, bird watching and embroidering. Maude is survived by her daughter, Sue Irelan of Centerville, three grandchildren; Amy Irelan of Des Moines, Jill Ray(Jamie) of Boonville, Missouri, Eddie Irelan(Jenny) of Higginsville, Missouri, 10 great grandchildren; Tyler DeVore, Tanner Cole(Amber), Katie Sue Cole, Kyle Walter, Rylan & Mason Warnick, Josie & Taylor Ray, Reagan & Piper, three great great grandchildren; Kayden & Keaton DeVore and Makenna Cole. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Maude was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Flowers on April 3, 2007, two brothers; Ralph Stogdill, Mike Stogdill and two sisters; Marie Benac and Paulyne Lanscak. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Heien officiating. Visitation will be all day Friday with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sunset View Cemetery.
