Matthew Ryan Fry's Obituary
Matthew Ryan Fry, age 30, of Des Moines, Iowa, died Monday, July 20, 2015, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines from injuries he received in a fall from a ladder. He was born the son of John A., Sr. and Cheryl L. (Robb) Fry on September 18, 1984 in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from the Centerville Community High School in 2003. On August 21, 2010, Matthew was united in marriage to Jennifer Starr in Centerville, Iowa. He was a caregiver for his father, and then recently began working in the Construction field. He was a caring and loving husband and father. He so enjoyed hanging with his family and friends and was the Grill master in the family.He is preceded in death by: his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Halena Robb; his paternal grandparents, William Fry and Geneva Fry; his mother-in-law, Donna Starr and his father-in-law, Michael Starr.Matthew is survived by: his wife, Jennifer Fry of Des Moines, Iowa, and their children, Destinee and Zavrie Fry also of Des Moines, Iowa; his father, John Fry, Sr. of Centerville, Iowa; his mother, Cheryl Fry and friend, Lamont Peaston of Des Moines, Iowa; brothers, John Fry, Jr. (Sonya), Kenny Fry, Travis Fry all of Centerville, Iowa; Christopher Fry (Jenn) of Des Moines, Iowa; a sister, Nicole McBride (Jef) of Des Moines, Iowa; father-in-law, Tom O'Connell of Osceola, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Pastor Mark Waits officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor Cemetery near Unionville, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 2 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home with the family present from 6 pm until 8 pmMemorials can be made in his name to the family and left or mailed to the funeral home.
