Mary Merle Tuttle's Obituary
Mary Tuttle, 96 of Corydon passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 at Corydon Specialty Care.
Mary was born to Edwin & Verda (Zimmerman) Petty on February 1, 1925 in Garden Grove, Iowa. She received her education from Garden Grove Schools. On November 8, 1942, Mary was united in marriage to Maurice Tuttle when they eloped to Trenton, MO. To this union came four children: Richard, Linda, Marvin and Dennis.
Mary enjoyed quilting, cooking, fishing, her pets, her flower gardens, collecting tea for one's and just shopping in general but most importantly her family.
Survivors include children: Dick Tuttle (Karen), Linda Johnston (Phil), Marvin Tuttle (Barb), daughter in law, Elaina Tuttle, grandchildren: Douglas Tuttle (Mary), Rochelle Lite (Phil), Rhonda Wouters (Reed), Lori Jewett (Jon), Brent Johnston (Melanie), Kerri Housh (Clint), Erin Maloney, Shannon Jones (Ricky), Tracy Clark (Teddy), Deanna Parham (Gene), Kristi Hornaday (Larry), Jeffrey Tuttle (Krista), Heather Sharp (Devon), numerous great grandchildren and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; parents; son, Dennis Tuttle; grandson, Brian Johnston; siblings: Lucille Tiedeman, Opal Tonkinson, Keith Petty, Neva Seitz and an infant brother, Ivan Petty.
Funeral service will be 10:30 am, Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. Interment will immediately follow at Corydon Cemetery. Visitation will take place one hour prior to service from 9:30-10:30 am.
