Mary Alice Tickle's Obituary
Mary Alice Tickle, 65, of Kansas City, Kan., passed away Sept. 24, 2003 at the Sweet Life at Rosehill in Kansas City, Kan.She was born the daughter of Honorable Judge Edward P. and Etta (Singley) Powers on May 5, 1938 in Centerville, Iowa and except for 15 years in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas, she lived most of her life in the Kansas City area.Mary was a teacher for the Independence School District and the Irving School District in Irving, Texas, when she retired in 2001. She was a lifetime member of the PEO and a member of the Eastern Star.Survivors include her husband, James F. Tickle, Kansas City; a son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Cara Tickle of Shawnee, Kan.; two daughters, Debra Lynn Tickle of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Pamela Collins of Kansas City, Kan.; and her six beloved grandchildren, Shelbi, Cara, McKenzi, Meagan, Caitlin and Kyler.Arrangements are by Maple Hill Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kan.Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29, 2003 at Maple Hill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
