Mary Louise Sales' Obituary
Mary Louise Sales, age 77, of Promise City, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at her home.
Mary was born on August 30, 1946 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Forrest Roth Foster and Eleanor (Walker) Foster. Following high school, Mary continued her education at Indian Hills Community College receiving her Registered Nurse degree. She later received her Bachelor's degree in Health Science. On October 9, 1988, Mary was united in marriage to Ronald Sales.
Mary worked for St. Joseph's/MercyOne Hospital, and recently celebrated 50 years of service as a Registered Nurse. She always had a smile on her face and loved her job tremendously. She provided comfort and care to many, and was greatly loved in the community.
Left to cherish Mary's memory are her husband, Ronnie Sales; her children, Donna Pohl and Richie (Kathy) Clark; her step-children, Ronald Sales, Richard (Angie) Sales, and Jeanette (Ronald) Weise; 12 grandchildren, Lauren (Tim) Jensen, Chandler (Taylor) Pohl, Rachael (Gage) Bates, Jason Clark, Thad (Casey) Clark, Mark (Amy) Clark, Cataleya Clark, Jazmine (Matt) Malone, Zachary Kratofil, Kadarenna (Brandon) Matthews, Cameron Sales and Nathan Sales; 8 great grandchildren, Oliver Jensen, Mia Bates, Logan Clark, Tristan Clark, Calista Clark, Declan Malone, Rowen Malone, Myla Matthews; her sister, Martha (James) Hogan; as well as numerous extended family members.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Eleanor Foster; a nephew, Bryan Hogan; and a niece, Tracy Clark.
Private graveside services will be held.
