LANGE FUNERAL HOME 641 856 2000 Mary Jane Wood Robbins, 95 of Waverly, Iowa (formerly of Cincinnati, Iowa) passed away on June 7, 2011 at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community. She was born on August 13, 1915 the daughter of James R. and Elsie M. Bohannon in Putnam County Missouri. She married Neal Taylor Wood on January 11, 1936 in Unionville, Missouri. They farmed West of Cincinnati for many years. On December 15, 2001, she married her childhood friend Fernice Robbins at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple made their home in Waverly. Mary Jane received her education in the Putnam County Schools graduating from Unionville High School in 1931. She taught school in Putnam County for seven years. She was a member of the Methodist Church since 1928, a member of Cincinnati Chapter PEO since 1950 and also a member of the Centerville Chapter #239 Order of the Eastern Star since 1955. Mary Jane is survived by two sons, Larry Wood (Dorothy) of Newton, Iowa and Ron Wood (Cinda) of Joplin, Missouri. Three grandsons Chris Wood (Laurie) of Kearney, Missouri and Mike Wood of Newton, Iowa, Ryan Wood (Jeanne) of Joplin, Missouri. Eight Great grandchildren, Michaela and Tyler Wood of Newton, Iowa, Anne and Kate Wood of Kearney, Missouri, Mason and Tucker Wood and Thaddeus and Hannah Cearnal of Joplin, Missouri. Three step-sons and their wives, Myron (Kay) Robbins of Sumner, Iowa, Kermit (Linda) Robbins of Grandville, Michigan and Curtis (Christine) Robbins of Oelwein, Iowa, and their families. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday June 9, 2011 at the Lange Funeral Home, Centerville, IA. Visitation will be held 1PM until service time at the Lange Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Cincinnati, IA. A memorial has been established to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Cincinnati and may be left or mailed to the Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th St, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
