Mary Ann Micetich's Obituary
Mary Ann (Snook) Micetich, age 75, of Centerville, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.
Mary Ann was born on February 14, 1949, in Seymour, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Ellen (Clark) Snook. She graduated from Seymour High School with the class of 1967. She married Tom Micetich, and together they had six children Todd, Troy, Trevor, Tommy, Timmy, and Misti. They later divorced.
Mary Ann spent most of her years taking care of her children. Later in life she went on to get a degree in nursing from Indian Hills and was a nurse for many years, until retiring. Mary Ann was a caregiver to all that were around her, especially her granddaughter Megan. She enjoyed time with her silly grandchildren and being a constant in their lives. Mary Ann loved her dogs and her ladybug teapot. Going on lunch and shopping dates with her friends Betty Lou and Peggy was always a favorite. She enjoyed spending time with the people closest to her.
Mary Ann is survived by her children: Todd (Peg) Micetich, Troy Micetich, Trevor (Michele) Micetich, Tommy (Tara) Micetich, Timmy (Carrie) Micetich, Misti (P.J.) Russell, several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, a brother Joe Snook Jr., her special friends Betty Lou McVeigh and Peggy Sales, along with numerous extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Jim Snook, a granddaughter Courtney Micetich, former husband Tom Micetich, and a sister-in-law Susan Snook.
Visitation services will be held on Wednesday December 18, 2024 from 10:00-12:00 pm at the Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 18, 2024 at 12:00pm with interment following at the Numa Cemetery.
