Mary Dutton's Obituary
Mary E. Dutton, age 96, died Monday, October 16, 2006 at her home in Seymour, Iowa.
Mary was born January 20, 1910, the daughter of William and Harriett (Webb) Dodson in Mercer, MO. She married Ray Dutton on February 20, 1932 in Mercer, MO. He preceded her in death. She was employed at Sears Saddlery in Davenport, Iowa and a seamstress for several different companies and also worked for Red Jacket Pump Company. Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seymour, Iowa. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and raising flowers. She loved spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by her special daughter in law Donna Dutton whom she made her home with, a granddaughter, Kimberly (John) Pate of Seymour, Iowa; great granddaughter, Lindsey Bland of Centerville, Iowa and Heather Bland of Seymour, Iowa and a great-great grandson Damier Allen Lee of Centerville, Iowa; several chosen grandchildren and nieces and nephews; and one brother Edwin Dodson of Manzola, Colorado. Mary was preceded in death by her siblings Clarence Dodson, Maggie Snook, Albert Dodson, Emma Tapscott, Fred Dodson, Ott Dodson, Nora Stroud, Audrey Pauley, Alice Dodson, Edgar Dodson, and Alfred Dodson, a great granddaughter Mary Lorine Dutton and two chosen sons Harold White and Don Jellison.
Funeral Services will be held 1:30 PM Thursday, October 19, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Seymour, Iowa with Mark Dye officiating. Interment will follow at the Southlawn Cemetery in Seymour, Iowa. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville, Iowa. A memorial has been established to the Seymour First Baptist Church, Seymour First Responders and the Hospice of Central Iowa and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
