Mary Ann Daugherty's Obituary
Mary Ann Daugherty, age 82, of Centerville, Iowa, died Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Golden Age Care Center in Centerville. She was born on August 5, 1931 in High Hill, Missouri to William and Mary (Fenslage) Kriegermerier. She would later graduate from the Moulton Community High School in Moulton, Iowa in 1948. She was united in marriage to Guy David Daugherty in Moulton on August 12, 1948. Mary Ann enjoyed sewing and quilting and was a Seamstress and Tailor for many years. She was a member of the Drake Avenue Christian Church in Centerville. Mary Ann was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Guy David Daugherty on January 7, 1983; a son, Don Daugherty in 1975; sisters, Jane Childs and Julia Walls; her brothers, Carl 'Hank', Dyer, Wayne and Aubrey 'Bud' Kriegermerier.She is survived by: her son, Tom Daugherty and his wife, Susan of Papillion, Nebraska; and a daughter, Cathy Covington of Tacoma, Washington; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, August 26, 2013 at the Drake Avenue Christian Church in Centerville with Rev. Sara Galindo officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset View Cemetery north of Moulton, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 1 pm until 7 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville with the family present from 5 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home.Memorial can be made to Drake Avenue Christian Church and may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
