Mary Ethel Crow's Obituary
Mary Ethel Crow, formerly of Centerville, Iowa, died on Monday, May 9, 2016, in Morton, Illinois. She was 96. Mary was born February 17, 1920, in Moulton, Iowa, the daughter of Harlan and Ethel (Wendland) Carr. She was one of thirteen children, two of whom survive her.Mary graduated from Moulton High School in 1937. On October 26, 1938, she married Floyd Crow in Unionville, Missouri. The couple had two sons: Charles E. Crow of Groveland, Illinois, and James L. Crow, North Platte, Nebraska. Mary was a homemaker and belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary in Centerville. She lived a long and good life and leaves behind her family and friends who loved her dearly as she did them. Survivors include her son, Charles Crow and grandchildren Todd Crow and Brenda Morgan; and son James (Melinda) Crow, grandchildren Becky Crow and Michael Crow, two great grandchildren; and sisters, Helen Harris and Betty Cairns.Preceding her in death: husband, Floyd Crow; daughter-in-law Patricia (Charles) Crow; brothers, Lewis Carr, John Carr, Mack Carr and Rex Carr; sisters, Romaine Heither, Barbara Winger and Jeanette Parman. Siblings who died in infancy include Ralph, Deloris and Mildred Carr.Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 13, 2016, at Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Rev. Tony Angran officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service. Interment at Sunset View Cemetery north of Moulton.
