Mary Collis' Obituary
Mary A. Collis, age 70, of Centerville died January 24, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center, Centerville, Iowa.
Mary was born September 5, 1936, the daughter of Ernest and Lizzie (Aldridge) Rude in Queen City, Missouri. She graduated from Schuyler County High School. She loved crocheting and spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by six children; Anna (Larry) Edwards of Davenport, Iowa, Norma (Owen) Shepard of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Ernest (Kathy) Collis of Allerton, Iowa, Melvin (Judy) Collis of Centerville, Iowa, Kathy (Carl) Sindelar of Centerville, Iowa and Richard (Laura) Collis of Centerville, Iowa, Twenty-five grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren, two brothers; Everett (Penny) Rude of Kirksville, Missouri and Walter (Carolyn) Rude of Greentop, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; Ernest and Lizzie Rude, one brother; Ernie Rude, one sister; Thelma Boggs, two grandchildren; Jennifer Lee Edwards and Stacy Collis, and one great grandchild; Cora Shepard.
Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville, IA with Pastor Walter King officiating. Burial will follow at the Coffey Cemetery between Queen City and Downing, Missouri. A visitation will be held all day Friday with family present from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. A memorial has been established and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, IA 52544.
