Mary Ellen Brinegar age 88, of Centerville, Iowa, died Thursday, June 25, 2009 at her home in Centerville. She was born the daughter of Lester and Carleta (Pilkington) Tull on February 28, 1921 in rural Exline, Iowa. She attended the Exline and Centerville schools.On November 28, 1936 Mary Ellen was united in marriage to Clifford Lewis Brinegar in Lancaster, Missouri; She was a homemaker.She is preceded in death by: her parents; infant son, Mark Brinegar; her husband, Clifford Lewis Brinegar on May 26, 2001; and a grandson, Randy Brinegar.Mary Ellen is survived by: two sons, Ronald and his wife Diana Brinegar of Centerville, Iowa and Rick and his wife Barbara Brinegar of Exline, Iowa; a daughter, Margaret Beard and her husband, Duane Beard of Rowlett, Texas; a sister, Joyce Thomas of Ottumwa, Iowa; eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and eight great, great grandchildren; two great, great, great grandchildren; one nephew and five niecesFuneral services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2009 at 10 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Spencer Keroff officiating. Burial will follow at the Exline Cemetery in Exline, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2009 from 1 pm till 8:30 pm with the family present from 6:30 pm till 8:30 pm at the funeral home.Memorials can be made to the Exline Cemetery and can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
