Mary Maxine Carter Beechum, age 86 of Centerville, Iowa died May 19, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, Iowa.
Mary Maxine Carter Beechum was born August 11, 1921 to the late George and Lillian Carter of Centerville, Iowa Her parents, two brothers: Eddie Palmer and Norman Norvelle Carter, one sister: Georgia Davis and two grandchildren preceded her in death.
She had attended the Centerville Schools and was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Centerville, Iowa. Several years ago, Maxine worked at Bennett Box, McGraw-Edison, and the Indian Hills Community College Dorms.
In her passing on May 19, 2008, she leaves to cherish her memory: five sons, Wallace ""Moe"" (Barbara) Carter, Paul (DiAnne) Davis, Steven Westmoreland and Richard (Tami) Westmoreland all of Centerville, Jim (Nancy) Davis of Batavia, Iowa, one daughter, Marian (J.T.) Buxton of Ottumwa, Iowa and one brother, Charles (Elizabeth) Carter of Centerville, seventeen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM, Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Allan Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. A visitation will be held Friday night from 6-8PM with the family present. A memorial has been established and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
