Mary Ball's Obituary
Mary Ball, age 93 of Centerville, Iowa passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
She was born in Darby, Iowa December 15, 1917 the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Ellis) Boyer. Mary attended the Darby School completing 8th Grade. She married Caleb Ball April 1, 1945 in Centerville. When Mary and Caleb lived in Hannibal, MO, she worked as a book keeper for the Hannibal Missouri Star Shoe Company. She worked at the Appanoose County Treasurer's office and was the information operator at the Farrington Phone Company. Mary was a book keeper for Centerville Housing Authority and Oakland Cemetery, Centerville when her husband was the cemetery sexton. She was a member of Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church, Centerville.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Caleb; sister Beulah Quick; and four brothers, Paul Boyer, Pearlie Boyer, Ivan Boyer, and Carl Boyer.
