Martha Ann Kueny's Obituary
Martha Ann (Heide) Kueny was born on July 23, 1935 in Webb, Iowa to John and Dorathea (Lorenz) Heide. At an early age she moved with her parents to Pomeroy, Iowa where she attended school, graduating in 1953. On January 18th, 1956 she was united in marriage to John Kueny of Danbury, Iowa. They married at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pomeroy. They farmed for several years near Pomeroy then moved near Storm Lake, farming in Buena Vista county. In 1972 they moved to Sac County to farm. They also farmed in northern Missouri finally settling in Wayne County in 1978. Martha and John have four children; David of Des Moines, Theresa Theis of Gladbrook, Mike of Johnston, and Lynette Watts of Davenport. Martha was employed at the Corydon Care Center as the Dietary Manager for 25 years. Recently she was a volunteer at the Allerton Public Library, and a member of the Allerton Garden Club. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court Margaret Mary at Storm Lake, Iowa and the Legion of Mary. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Robert and Lorenz, and a sister Luella. Survivors are her husband John Kueny, son David Kueny, daughter Theresa (Jeff) Theis, son Mike Kueny, daughter Lynette (Kurt) Watts, nine grandchildren; Ron, Stacy, Robert, Catheryne, Brandi, Peyton, Karrigan, Hailey, and Michael, six great-grandchildren; Madilyn, Conner, Myah, Rhylie, Kohen, and Lillian.
