Martha Barbaglia's Obituary
Martha Barbaglia, 94 of Centerville formerly of Mystic, Iowa died Monday evening, July 5, 2004 at Golden Age Care Center in Centerville.
She was born August 15, 1909 in the Sunshine Mining Camp the daughter of Louis Van Vaslar and Amelie (Van Elst) Vaslar. She has lived most of her life in the Mystic Area.
She is survived by six children Marlene Farnsworth and her husband Jim of Ottumwa, Iowa, Rosann Barbaglia of Mystic, Julie Harris and her husband Russell of Ventura, CA, Karen VerMeer and her husband Harley of Pella, Iowa, John Moore and his wife Marilyn of Centerville, Linda Meyers and her husband Jerrry of Craig, CO, 20 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, a close friend Ida Maletta of Centerville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Julius Van Vaslar and a nephew Robert Van Vaslar both of Marion, Indiana
Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Saturday July 10, 2004 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville with Pastor Jim Altmaier officiating. Friends may call all day Friday with the family present from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Casket bearers will be Jim Farnswortth, Steve Farnsworth, Steve Farnsworth, Robert Meyers, Jerry Meyers, John Meyers and Mike VerMeer. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery, Mystic. A memorial has been established to Highland Cemetery Assoc. or the Mystic First Responders and may left or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, PO Box 6, Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
