Marlin "Whiskers" Fultz's Obituary
Marlin "Whiskers" Fultz, 72, of Centerville passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Marlin was the son of William & Nellie (Helvig) Fultz born on February 28, 1944 in Sioux City, Iowa. Marlin grew up on Iowa farms and received his education from Davis County High School. Marlin served his country for 12 years in the United States National Guard in Iowa, Wisconsin and Florida. Marlin was a truck driver for many years. Most recently Marlin was employed by Centerville Schools as a bus driver. He also spent many years umpiring little league baseball games. Marlin is survived by his wife Shari Fultz of Centerville, four children from a previous marriage: Jeff Fultz of Orlando, FL, Tim Fultz (Dianna) of San Antonio, TX, Kris Fultz of Mt. Pleasant, Gayle Khodian (Roger) of Oldsmar, FL, sister, Sharon Meisenheimer (Robert) of Johnston, IA, step-children: Sonya Stierle of Council Bluffs, Nicole Stierle of Atlantic, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A visitation will take place Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Thomas Funeral Home from 12-1 p.m. Graveside service will follow at Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to the family which may be left at Thomas Funeral Home and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com.
