Marilyn Terry's Obituary
Marilyn Ann Terry, 83 of Centerville, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Mercy One in Centerville.
Marilyn was born to Lloyd and Catherine (Cooper) Thomasson on July 5, 1938. She grew up in Monroe, Iowa. Marilyn was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Menken and to this union, four children were born: Debra, Ronda, Connie, and Michael. Later, they divorced, and Marilyn married Kenneth Smith. She and Kenneth were divorced, and Marilyn married Larry Willey. After Larry's passing, Marilyn married James "Jim" Terry.
She loved going fishing, playing Yahtzee with her girls, and having her grandchildren visit. Marilyn enjoyed going on shopping trips and vacations and loved her jewelry. She attended the East Pleasant Church of Christ in Cincinnati and loved her church family there.
Survivors include her daughters Debbie Hornaday, Rhonda (Walt) Spiker, and Connie (Roger) Shiltz; her 9 grandchildren Bobby, Kimberly, Jason, Jeremy, Justin, Joey, Cody, Malorie, and Hope; her 10 great-grandchildren, sister Kay (Melvin) Van Wyk, brother Lloyd Thomasson, Jr., several nieces and nephews, and numerous extended family.
Marilyn is preceded in death her husband Jim, her parents and grandparents, son Michael, daughter-in-law Kelly Menken, son-in-law Paul Hornaday, and great niece Kelsey.
Funeral service for Marilyn will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with Pastor Eric Hoover officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service, beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati.
