Marilyn Arlene Pister's Obituary
Marilyn Pister, age 79, died Monday, January 11, 2010 at the Centerville Nursing and Rehab Center in Centerville, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Henry and Eva (Walker) Rinehart on February 13, 1930 near Mystic, Iowa. She graduated from Moravia Community Schools. In 1948 she was united in marriage to Bernard Pister in Exline, Iowa. Marilyn was a telephone operator for many years and later a Jailer at the Appanoose County Jail in Centerville, Iowa. Marilyn was a member of the First Baptist Church in Centerville, Iowa, and also on the Hospital Auxiliary.Marilyn in survived by: her husband, Bernard Pister of Centerville, Iowa; son, Greg Pister of Centerville, Iowa; daughters, Sheila and her husband, Dennis Davies of Glendora, California, and Chrys and her husband, George Bailey of Mystic, Iowa; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Gene Rinehart, Jamie Rinehart, and Ora Rinehart.Memorial Services will be held Friday, January 15, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Lloyd Johnston officiating. Burial will be at the Concord Cemetery in Mystic, Iowa at a later date. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with the family present.Memorials can be made to the Hospital Auxiliary or the First Baptist Church Kitchen Fund and can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
