Marilyn Perkins, 69, of Mystic passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Wayne County Hospital. Marilyn was born in Muscatine, Iowa on August 11, 1944 to John & Madge (Inglish) Vaira. She married Dean Perkins on March 18, 1961 in L Read Obituary
My deepest sympathies to the Perkins Family on the loss of Marilyn. I am saddened to learn that Marilyn has passed. As a young boy in the mid-1960's, my family ( the Rex Cochran Family) lived not too far from the Perkins Family in rural Appanoose County west of Mystic. As a young boy, I remember riding my bicycle to their house where Brian and I would play together. I also remember when I was making the rounds selling magazine subscriptions for our school project, and Marilyn bought magazine subscriptions from me. Obviously, Marilyn had a heart of gold, and a special place for children in her heart. Unfortunately, I lost touch with the Perkins Family over the years, but those early memories have lived on, and will live on, with me for the rest of my life. May The Good Lord comfort Marilyn's family at this time and always. God Bless.
We have many fond memories of growing up as cousins including the many visits to Ainsworth to see the family and their visits here. We especially remember the good times we had when we would all go to the state fair and campout over night! In those days camping out was in the car or on the ground!!!! We were all glad when the family moved back to Centerville and we saw more of each other. Most recent memories include going to the Exline Store with Marilyn and spending an afternoon at her house visiting and getting caught up on each other. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Dean, Brian, John, and families. Marilyn was fun to be with and we shared a lot of good laughs. We are proud to call her our cousin.
