Marilyn R. Crow Obituary's Obituary
Marilyn Ruth Crow, 67 of Centerville passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. Marilyn was born on February 27, 1943 in Clinton, Iowa to Stanley & Madge (Beach) Heaivilin. Marilyn attended Centerville Community Schools, moving to Des Moines her senior year and graduated from North High School in 1961. She married Gary Eugene Crow in Centerville on August 6, 1961. They farmed east of Centerville and raised five children. Marilyn was an Avon dealer for many years, she was employed by Centerville National Bank Credit Union, Centerville Nursing & Rehab, Golden Age Care Center and would later retire from Wells Manufacturing in 2009. Marilyn enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, watching movies, auctions, flea markets and casinos. Her happiest moments were spent with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 49 years Gary, five children; James Eugene Crow(Lisa) of Centerville, Terry Wayne Crow(Paula) of Centerville, Jerald Dean Crow(Christina) of Nevada, Billie Jo Piatt(Jason Smith) of Mystic, Bobbie Sue Maddy(Keane) of Mystic; 15 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two sisters, Bonnie McConnell(Bill) of Waterloo, Jeraldine Scott(Mike) of Des Moines, sisters-in-law, Bev Jewett (Dr. Stephen) of Centerville, Jane Hayes(Doran) of Centerville and Becky Hinkle(Philip) of Bella Vista, Arkansas. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Thomas Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sharon Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be all day Friday with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home.
