Margie Watson's Obituary
Margie Ann Watson, 81, of Corydon, passed away on March 6, 2021 at Wayne County Hospital. Margie was born near Allerton on January 4, 1940 to Ray L. and Ruth (Hook) Monteith. Following graduation from Corydon High School, Margie married Marion Watson on December 31, 1963 and together they raised two sons. Margie loved helping people her entire life. She was a nurse's aide for several years and then worked as a CNA for home health care. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and a longtime member of Full Faith Church in Chariton. Margie enjoyed attending worship services, staying involved with church activities and serving her Lord. She also relished in quality family time, refurbishing old furniture and following genealogy. Margie is survived by her children: Jim (Tara) Watson and Lamar (Lisa) Watson; sister, Evelyn (Gene) Moore and grandchildren: Sean, Serena and Cameron Watson and Andrew Freihage as well as a great granddaughter on the way, Lexus Kai Lee Crowley and many other extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Marion. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. Interment will immediately follow at Corydon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. with the family present from 4 - 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Thomas Funeral Home.
