Margaret Stickler's Obituary
Margaret Stickler, age 79 of Centerville died Wednesday May 11, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center, Centerville, IA.
Margaret was born April 18, 1926 the daughter of George and Kate (Fuller) Young in Mystic. She graduated from Mystic High School. She married Ray Stickler on August 1, 1945 in Seattle, Washington. She enjoyed reading, quilting and her fruit trees when bearing. She loved spending her winters in Arizona, and her dog Sparky.
She is survived by her husband Ray, two sons; Dennis (Francine) Stickler of Centerville, Rick (Shelley) Stickler of LaPorte City, a daughter Sharon (Marvin) Walter of Centerville, seven grandchildren; Dennis Stickler, Steven Stickler, Trinita Shewry, Mindy Stickler, Alissa Burger, Matthew Stickler and Melanie Stickler, three great grandchildren Abby Stickler, Katie Shewry & Harley Stickler two brothers; Sandy (Freda) Young of Newton and Bill (Janet) Young of Mystic, two sister in laws, Mavis Stickler of Centerville, LaVon Stickler of Port Byron, IL, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother John Young.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 PM at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville. Visitation will be held Saturday with family present from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Elgin Cemetery, Mystic. A memorial has been established to the 18-80 Club and may be left or mailed to Thomas Lange Funeral Home PO Box 6 Centerville, Iowa 52544.
