Margaret L. Livengood's Obituary
Margaret Livengood, age 88, of Centerville died Monday evening October 2, 2006 from a heart attack at Mercy Medical Center, Centerville, Iowa.
Margaret was born October 6, 1917 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Edwin and Gladys (Shearer) Carlson. She graduated from Centerville High School in 1935. Margaret married Roy Livengood on November 26, 1936 at her parents home. Roy preceded her in death on December 31, 2001. Margaret was a member of the Drake Ave. Christian Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Margaret is survived by one sister, Marjorie Lewis of Ottumwa, IA; five children, Sally (Stan) Shepard of Aitken, MN, Connie (Gene)Davis of Casa Grande, AZ, Susan (Jim) Sherrard of Peoria, AZ, Ron (Cathy) Livengood of Maricopa, AZ and Tom (Cheri) Livengood of Centerville, IA; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother Don Carlson. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, October 7, 2006 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with Rev. Carl Heien officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Centerville, IA. A visitation will be held all day Friday at the funeral home with family present from 6-8 PM. A memorial has been established to the Roy and Margaret Livengood Scholarship and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
