Margaret Helen Lewis' Obituary
Margaret Helen Lewis, age 95, of Unionville, Missouri and a former Centerville, Iowa resident, departed this life to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri. She was born on March 6, 1912 the daughter of Joseph H. and Myrtle Cordelia (Cooper) Harvey in Centerville, Iowa. She received her education in the Centerville Community Schools. On July 26, 1932, Margaret was united in marriage to John D. Lewis in Lancaster, Missouri. She and her husband lived and worked in Centerville building camp trailers for Kamp-A-While Industries for many years. They later moved to Unionville, Missouri. She enjoyed guilting, cooking and helping her neighbors, family and friends. She was a active member in the Gospel Chapel where her husband preached. They also attended the West Liberty Church in Missouri for 20 years where her husband preached every Sunday evening. Margaret was quite a lady who loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and would drop everything to be with them. She taught both grandsons how to bake. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, John Lewis on February 4, 1997; son, John David Lewis in 1960; six brothers and six sisters; four brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law.Margaret is survived by: her daughter, Nancy Tietsort and her husband, Fredrick Leroy of Unionville, Missouri; grandsons, David 'Mike' Lewis and his wife, Tiena and John F. 'Rick' Tietsort and his wife, Susan; great step-grandson, Daniel Kunkle and his wife, Michelle; two great grandsons, David Dean Lewis and his wife Danielle and Gregory Allen Lewis; also several nieces and nephews; and a daughter-in-law, Sandra Wright.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 11 am at the To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Margaret Helen Lewis please visit our Sympathy Store.
