Margaret "Peggy" Fincher's Obituary
Margaret "Peggy" Fincher, 86, of Moulton, passed away on October 18, 2019 at her residence. Peggy was born on April 19, 1933 in Fremont, Ohio to George and Ruth (Stiger) Ribar. She attended grade school in Ohio before the family moved to Iowa. She married James Fincher on June 4, 1949 in Danville, Iowa and to this union, two children were born. Peggy and her husband both worked for the school system for several years before owning and operating a lumberyard in Moulton. After selling the lumberyard, Peggy remained and devoted and loving homemaker, wife and mother. In her spare time, Peggy enjoyed: listening to country music and Elvis Presley records, reading, spending time with family and friends, traveling and taking motorcycle rides with her husband. Peggy is survived by her daughter, May Benell; grandsons: Joey, Greg, Adam and Tim Fincher, Kevin and Kim Benell and Damien Smith; brothers: Charles Ansberry and George Ribar; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; son, David Fincher; sisters: Trudy Henzie and Ilene Ribar; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Fincher and a great grandson, David Joseph Fincher. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Thomas Funeral Home in Moulton from 1-7:00 p.m. with the family present from 5-7:00 p.m. A private interment will take place at Sunset View Cemetery.
