Margaret Davolt's Obituary
Margaret Louise (Henderson) Davolt, age 78 of Centerville, Iowa died Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
Margaret was born May 21, 1929 the daughter of Loyd and Edith (Ellis) Henderson in Centerville, Iowa. On May 11, 1946 she was united in marriage to Lester Houser. To this union four children were born, John LaVern (Linda) Houser of Moravia, Iowa, Gary Lee (Shelley) Houser of Wamego, Kansas, Richard Lynn (Jeannine) Houser of Corydon, Iowa and Linda Louise Houser of Iowa Falls. She divorced and married Wallace (Junior) Davolt in 1988. Margaret worked for Blue Bird Restaurant and Star Cleaners for many years. She loved camping, cooking, shopping and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Dale Church.
Margaret is survived by her children; a sister, Mary (Bob) Curtis of Centerville, Iowa; one step sister, Ruth Ann Repenning of Plainsville, Nebraska; eighteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; many nieces; nephews; cousins; one aunt, Mildred Henderson of Allterton, Iowa and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; step mother; sister, Dorothy Welch and a brother, Earl Everett Henderson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville, Iowa with Pastor Gerald Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Ararat Cemetery east of Centerville, Iowa. Visitation will be held all day Thursday at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with family present from 6-8 PM. A memorial has been established to Centerville Nursing and Rehab and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, IA 52544.
