Madeline V. (Oehler) Bailey, age 83, of Centerville, Iowa, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at Centerville Nursing & Rehab Center in Centerville, Iowa. She was born the daughter of the late Paul Oehler and the late Vesta (Whicker) Oehler on March 18, 1922 in Moravia, Iowa. She was a graduate of Moravia High School, Moravia, Iowa.On October 12, 1940, she was united in marriage to Curtis Bailey in Unionville, Missouri. She was a homemaker.Madeline was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Curtis Bailey, on September 12, 2002; a brother, Leon Oehler; a sister, Laura Jean Martin; and daughter-in-law, Judy Bailey.She is survived by: her son, Bill Bailey, and his wife, Karen, of Waukee, Iowa; grandson, Justin Bailey, and his wife, Kristy, of Centerville, Iowa; granddaughter, Heather McKelvey, and her husband, Charles, of Ottumwa, Iowa; and five great-grandchildren.Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2005, at 11:00 A.M. at Haines Cemetery, north of Centerville, Iowa, with Rev. Lloyd Johnston officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be held all day Friday, June 3, 2005, until 5:00 P.M.
