Mable Olive Sebolt's Obituary
Mabel Olive Sebolt, age 89, of Numa, IA, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, October 31, 2003, at her home southwest of Numa, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Jess and Minnie (Matherly) Exline on October 4,1914 near Exline, Iowa. She received her education in both Rural Appanoose County Schools and Centerville Community Schools.On July 1, 1933, Mabel was united in marriage to Clifford Sebolt in Cincinnati, Iowa. The couple farmed together for many years south of Numa, Iowa. She was a member of the Seymour Baptist for over 50 years. She accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of 16. Mabel enjoyed mowing her lawn and doing things for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; such as baking bread, rolls and pies. She crocheted afgans for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.Mabel was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Clifford Sebolt on September 5, 1992; son, Neil Sebolt on July 6, 1989; sister, Ruth Morrow; brother-in-law, Veldon Morrow and brother, Earl Exline; sister-in-law,Evelyn Exline.She is survived by: two sons, Curtis Sebolt and his wife, Donna of Cincinnati, Iowa and Marvin Sebolt and his wife, Luetta of Mystic, IA; daughter-in-law, Sharon Sebolt of Centerville, Iowa; 9 grandchildren and their spouses; and 23 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held 10 AM, Monday, November 3, 2003 at the Seymour Baptist Church in Seymour, Iowa with Rev. Gilbert Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Southlawn Cemetery in Seymour.Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2003 from 1 pm till 8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with the family present from 6 pm till 8 pm.
