Lynn Rockhold's Obituary
Lynn Rockhold, 64, of Corydon passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines surrounded by his family. Lynn was born to Creed & Clara Mae (Snodgrass) Rockhold in Leon, Iowa on January 10, 1952. He received his education from Lineville-Clio High School, graduating in 1970. After high school, Lynn furthered his education at Northeast Missouri State College in Kirksville obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Education. On February 24, 1979, Lynn was united in marriage to Linda Ellen Sloan. To this union are two children, Ryan and Lizabeth. Lynn worked for many road construction companies ending his career at Sternquist Construction Company in Indianola as a concrete saw operator. He enjoyed watching sports, especially his granddaughters when they would play. Lynn was an avid Iowa Hawkeye Fan, and followed their football and basketball team every year. He also followed the Chicago Bears and New York Yankees during their respective seasons. Lynn also enjoyed playing candy crush on his iPad and watching whatever reality TV show he could find. Survivors include his wife, Linda of Corydon, two children: Ryan Rockhold (Jessica) of Ottumwa, Lizabeth Rockhold of Phoenix, AZ, grandchildren: Sydney & Gracey Rockhold of Ottumwa, Diego Florez of Phoenix, three siblings: Chris Roberson (Don) of Davenport, Cathy Mullenberg Gaudet of Geneseo, Illinois, Bill Rockhold (Deanna) of Stanberry, Missouri and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Keenan Rockhold and his parents. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Thomas-Randolph Funeral Home in Corydon. Interment will immediately follow at Corydon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the funeral home.
