Lynn Clair Nash's Obituary
Lynn Clair Nash, 75 of Allerton passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Legacy Lodge - Circle of Life Hospice House in Chariton. Lynn was born on April 6, 1940 in Palmyra, Nebraska to Clair & Faith (Thomson) Nash. He attended grade school in Bennett, Nebraska before moving to Allerton, Iowa in 1953. Lynn would go on to graduate from Bob Jones University in 1959. In 1960 his family moved to Colorado where he and his father ran a gas station and Lynn became a machinist until moving back to Iowa in 1963. Lynn was a farmer the majority of his life after moving back to Iowa in 1963. He loved the outdoors and loved working with his cattle. Lynn so enjoyed cattle farming he looked forward to helping his family and friends with their cattle. Later on in life Lynn enjoyed going to the Fast Stop and South 40 to visit with his friends. One of his pride and joys was driving his Uncle Ed's John Deere in local parades. Survivors include his brothers: Craig Nash (Helen) of Lacona, Nathan Nash (Anita) of Albia, nephew, Brian Nash (Sonya) of Spencer, Iowa, nieces: Brenda Wills (Brent) of Des Moines, Andrea Pennington (Scott) of Lucas and many friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Celebration of Life Service will take place at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Thomas-Randolph Funeral Home in Corydon - 204 N. Greeley St. - Corydon, Iowa 50060 with Pastor Diane Olson Schroeder officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to service from 10-10:30 a.m. Inurnment will take place at Allerton Cemetery immediately following the service. Memorials may be given to Legacy Lodge - Circle of Life Hospice and condolences may be shared at www.thomasrandolphfh.com.
