Lucile Cunningham's Obituary
Lucile Cunningham, age 87, of Centerville, Iowa, died Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Centerville Nursing & Rehab Center in Centerville. She was born the daughter of Alva and Verna (Clarke) Morelock on November 27, 1919 in Eldora, Iowa. She graduated from Centerville Community Schools in 1936 and was named an All State Forward in Basketball.Lucile was first united in marriage to Elmer Stevens and was later divorced, then in 1952, She was united in marriage to William 'Pete' Cunningham in Unionville, Missouri. She was a homemaker.She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Pete Cunningham in 1975; brothers, Burl and George Morelock; sister, Olive Heartley and two other siblings in infancy.Lucile is survived by: her two sons, William 'Bill' Cunningham and his wife, Rose of Centerville and Michael Cunningham and his wife, Pauline of Urbandale, Iowa; daughter, Judy Roby and her husband, John of Mystic, Iowa; brother, David Morelock of Centerville; fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and nine great, great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 19, 2007 at 10 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Jan Bunnell officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the Highland Cemetery near Mystic, Iowa.
