Louis J. Budeslich's Obituary
Louis J. Budeslich, age 86 of Centerville, Iowa passed away January 12, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Louis was born June 20, 1923, the son of Slavo Budeslich and Marija (Starcevich) Budeslich. He was united in marriage to Ola Tometich on May 18, 1946, at St. Mary's in Centerville, Iowa. Louis worked at Mott Construction for 28 years and for the City of Centerville for 12 years. He retired in 1990. His hobbies included being an avid gardener, raising flowers and woodworking. He also enjoyed engine repair and model trains. Louis was a wonderful person who cherished his family.
He is survived by a daughter, Catherine Huisman of Madrid, Iowa; 4 grandchildren, Heather (Tony) Belloma of Centerville, Iowa, Shelley Seddon of Sydney, Australia, Graham Huisman of Ankeny, Iowa, and Jessamyn (Ross) Lemon of Ames, Iowa; one sister, Angeline Budeslich of Centerville, and one brother, John Budeslich of Urbandale, Iowa, and four great grandchildren, Peyton Kauffman, Payne Kauffman, Benny Belloma and Keiko Min Huisman.
Louie was preceded in death his wife, Ola; daughter, Patricia (Patty) Seddon; brother, Joseph Budeslich; nephew, Mark Budeslich; sister-in-law, Darlene (John) Budeslich; and parents, Slavo and Marija Budeslich.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, January 16, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville with Father Dennis Schaab officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetary in Centerville. A visitation will be held Friday at the Lange Funeral Home, with the family present from 5-7 PM., with a rosary service being held at 7PM. A memorial has been established to either St. Mary's Catholic Church or the American Arthritis Foundation and may be left at or mailed to the Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
