Dear Christa & Pat,Uncle Louie and Aunt Edith made all of the cousins feel like they were very special. You might be too young to remember the Smothers Brothers television show, but they had a routine about which of them Mom loved best. I think all of the cousins might have had a similar discussion about which cousin was your parent's favorite. That is the way your parents made each one of them feel--as if each one was the favorite. One of the really good memories we have is of the Thanksgiving that your parents spent with our family in Houston when Jenni and Ron lived there. Jenni and I had so much fun cooking with them. Aunt Edith made oyster stuffing for us. If I understand correctly, that is something your family included in Thanksgiving meals. One of the trips to their house resulted in us bringing home three large rocks that are part of the landscaping by our front porch. Uncle Louie found them and dug them out with the backhoe. We have a memory of Uncle Louie every time we enter through the front door or sit on the porch.Sending you hugs and sympathy
