Loretta Pearl Crow's Obituary
Loretta Pearl Crow, 69, of Centerville passed away Monday, December 22, 2003 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. She was born January 1, 1934 in Numa to Amel and Angeline (Cochran) Rowan. She graduated from Udell Consolidated High School in 1952, Baptized at First Baptist Church in Seymour in 1947, attended Dale Church for several years, and belonged to Walnut City Merry Homemakers 4-H Club for 6 years. As an adult, Loretta served as President of Appanoose Genealogy Society and former columnist for the Daily Iowegian. On December 26, 1953, Loretta married John Eugene Crow in Loves Park, Illinois.
Loretta is survived by two daughters, Diana (Crow) Iglinski and her husband Frank of Chicago, Illinois and Donna (Crow) Davis and her husband Russell of Centerville, Iowa; Four grandchildren, Justin Lindley of Chicago, Illinois, Curtis, Angela and Nicholas Davis; two great grandchildren, Sabrina and Cassondra Lindley.
Survived by sister Elizabeth Garrett and husband Les of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; Penny Black and husband Dale of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ron Rowan and wife Margaret of Taylor Ridge, Illinois; Denny Rowan of Centerville and Jim Rowan and wife Carol of Cincinnati, Iowa. Step-mother, Margaret Rowan of Centerville, Iowa.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 26, 2003 at Thomas Lange Funeral Home in Centerville. Burial will be at Eaton Cemetery in Unionville, Iowa. A memorial has been established to the Drake Public Library and may be left at or mailed to Thomas Lange Funeral Home P.O. Box 6 1900 South 18th St. Centerville, Iowa 52544.
