Lorene Pace's Obituary
Lorene Pace, age 84, of Moulton, Iowa, died Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Charles A. and Maude (Grimm) Lepley on January 12, 1922 in Lacona, Iowa. She recieved her education in a Rural Country School near Lacona.On March 13, 1941, Lorene was united in marriage to Winston W. Pace in Lacona, Iowa. She worked for a time at McGraw Edison and ran the Moulton Dairy Queen in Moulton. She was also a homemaker. Lorene loved her family and spending countless hours on her quilting.She was preceded in death by: her parents; her step-mother, Gladys (Whitworth) Lepley who raised her; husband, Winston Pace on April 15, 1981; grandson, Martin Selvy; sister, Estelene Lepley; brother, Gene Lepley and a son-in-law, Oren Dale Stevenson.Lorene is survived by: her eight daughters, Wandah and her husband, Robert Selvy of Lovilia, Iowa; Mary and her husband, Jay Wilson of East Moline, Illinois, Judy Stevenson of Moulton, Iowa, Thressa and her husband, James Robinson of Centerville, Iowa, Linda and her husband, Robert Chance of Lovilia, Iowa, Connie and her husband, Jodie Gillaspie of Albia, Iowa, Lucy and her husband, Ronald Elswick of Albia, Iowa and Janet and her husband, Michael Stevens of Centerville, Iowa; son, Winston Pace, Jr and his wife, Vicki of Udell, Iowa; brother, Donnie Lepley of Schererville, Indiana; 10 sisters, Berniece Ross of Phoenix, Arizona, Nadene Maeschen of Indianola, Iowa, Helen Flowers of Kingman, Indiana, Margery DeLeu of Moline, Illinois, Maxine Lepley of Moline, Illinois, Shirley Foster of Fulton, Missouri, Bonnie Lyman of Kingman, Indiana, Junie Farris of Fulton, Missouri, Joann Berdine of Kingman, Indiana and Joyce Haynes of Kansas City, Missouri; Twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 10:30 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Reg Higginbottom officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset View Cemetery north of Moulton, Iowa.
