Lorene 'Lori' Johnson's Obituary
Lorene "Lori" Johnson, age 58, of Centerville, passed away Monday, November 14, 2022 at MercyOne Medical Center in Centerville.
Lori was born on July 30, 1964 in Phoenix, Arizona, the daughter of Paul and Martha "Suzy" (Leach) Varner. On August 8, 1984, she was united in marriage to Raymond Johnson. To this union, one child was born, Jennifer. The couple later divorced.
Lori managed Wizard Cleaning Business (auto detailing and carpet cleaning) in Centerville and worked in the food service industry at Centerville Community Schools for several years. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, listening to music, and traveling. Loris favorite thing to do was spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Left to cherish Loris memory are her daughter, Jennifer (Robert) Deleon of Centerville; her grandchildren, Gabriel Antonio Deleon and Sahara Joy Marie Deleon, both of Centerville; siblings, Lance (Dottie) Varner of Emerson, Clay Varner of Iowa City, and Laurel Varner of Mystic; as well as several extended family and friends including cousins, nephews and nieces.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Suzy Varner; her mother-in-law, Joan Johnson; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Varner.
Per wishes, cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of life get together will begin at 2PM, Friday, November 25, 2022 at the Spur in Centerville. All family and friends are welcome to join in reminiscing Loris life. Memorials may be made to Jennifer Deleon, to be determined at a later date, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home, ATTN: Johnson family, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa.
