Lonnie Joe Risher's Obituary
Lonnie Joe Risher, 81 of Centerville passed away, Friday, February 14, 2025 at Long Term Care - Mercy One, Centerville.
Lonnie was born in Mystic on March 28, 1943 to Clarence & Geneva (Weston) Risher. He received his education from Centerville Schools, graduating in 1962. On February 21, 1964; Lonnie was united in marriage to Pat Fenton, they were one week shy of 61 years of marriage. To this union came one son, Lance.
Lonnie was a heavy equipment operator all of his life. He ran a bulldozer until retiring in 2005. Lonnie enjoyed spending time at the casino, often sharing his winnings with his loved ones. He loved his family very much and was always concerned with his grandkids wellbeing. He also enjoyed cruising around town in his truck with multiple daily stops at BP for a cup of coffee and to BS with the guys. He was seldom seen without a Marlboro in his hand.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Risher, son, Lance Risher (Monica), grandchildren: Kyler Risher, Kailyn Gordon (Zach), Rhylan Risher, Anessa Risher, Sienna Risher, Slade Risher, great granddaughter, Tayah Sales, sisters-in-law: Cathy Risher, Judy Neal, Kim Ferren, Sherry Schlesier and a brother-in-law, Dennie Fenton (Charlotte). He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister Denise Risher, brother, Ronnie Risher, brothers-in-law: Gene Fenton (Diane) and Gary Fenton.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with a visitation one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 AM.
