Lola Belle Patterson's Obituary
Lola Belle Patterson, age 98, of Centerville, IA, died Sunday, November 16, 2003, at Golden Age Care Center in Centerville. She was born the daughter of John A. and Mary A. (Riggle) Wright on March 9, 1905 in Exline, Iowa. She graduated from Cincinnati Community High School and later attended Cedar Falls College, Indian Hills and Kirksville, MO College.Lola was united in marriage to Glenn Patterson on April 8, 1932 in Dean, Iowa. Lola was a school teacher in Rural Schools for a number of years and retired in 1966 while teaching at Cincinnati, Iowa. She was a member of the Drake Avenue Christian Church and Retired Teachers Friendship Circle Club.Lola was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Glenn on April 24, 1973; 5 brothers, Boyd, David, Ruben, Carl and Johnny Wright; 3 sisters, Ruth Patterson, Bertha Bauman and Ora Walker.Surviving family members are: 1 brother, Paul Wright of Centerville, Iowa; 1 sister, Mary Correll of Centerville, Iowa.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2003 at 11:00 am at the Drake Avenue Christian Church in Centerville with the Rev. Carl Heien officiating. The family will be present from 9:00 am until time of service.
