Lola "Minnie" Arlene Kluxdal's Obituary
Lola "Minnie" Arlene Kluxdal, age 87, of Centerville passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines.
Minnie was born on May 11, 1935 in Winner, South Dakota, the daughter of Ephriam Ferris Black and Rose (Kettleson) Black. She was united in marriage to James L. Kluxdal, and to this union, three children were born, Lon, Pam and Kim.
Minnie was a stay at home mom to her children while Jim worked outside the home. The couple traveled to Apache Junction, Arizona and resided there for a period of time. Minnie loved going to Hardees every morning to meet her friends and have breakfast and coffee. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family any chance she could.
Left to cherish Minnie's memory are her husband, Jim Kluxdal of Centerville; her children, Lon Kluxdal (Special friend, Marlene), Pam Wells (Gary Anderson), and Kim Kluxdal; two grandchildren, Dennis (Brooklyn) Kluxdal and Nicole Wells; three great grandchildren, Cali, Layton and Kinsley; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, Ephriam and Rose Black; her in-laws, Dennis and Hulda Kluxdal; a son-in-law, Doug Wells; and 21 siblings.
Per her wishes, cremation has been accorded. No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family of Lola Kluxdal, to be determined at a later date, and may be mailed to Thomas Funeral Home, ATTN: Kluxdal family, 501 North 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
