Lois Eileen Keho Obituary's Obituary
Lois (Carson) Keho passed away March 8, 2014 at Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born at the home of her parents James & Ailcie (Scoles) Carson near Assumption, Illinois on March 8, 1935. She joined one brother, three sisters and was later joined by another sister. On August 30, 1957 Lois married Jack Keho in Tempe, Arizona and in 1958 they moved to Iowa where they made their home on the farm west of Allerton. To this union 3 children were born; James (Jim), Mark and Sharon. Lois worked for the Department of Human Services for many years before retiring. Lois loved her family and enjoyed traveling, especially the trips that she made with her sisters to see interesting or unusual things, reading, genealogy, the wide variety of birds which were attracted to her flower gardens and walks around the family farm with her dog Spike. She was very active in various community organizations and functions such as her church, hospice and as an election worker. She is survived by her children: Mark (Ginger) Keho of Maryville, Missouri and Sharon (Shawn) Ripperger of New Virginia, Iowa; grandchildren: Bill (Amanda) Keho of Pickering, Missouri, Christine (Steven) Florea of Ravenwood, Missouri and Julie (Harmon) Timm of Waukee, Iowa; great-grandchildren: Logan, Keegan, Emily, Jackson Keho and Eli Florea; siblings: Bob (Betty) Carson, Lucille (Burl) Harper, Norma (Jerry) Wright and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, son Jim, sisters Arlene Lydick & Doris Seward and brothers-in-law Paul Lydick & Dallas Seward. The family extends its thanks to the staff of Wayne County Hospital, Mercy Hospital and Bright Kavanagh House. A memorial has been established to the family to be decided at a later date.
