Lois McDannald's Obituary
Lois (Bailey) McDannald, 91, passed away on March 2, 2018 at Corydon Specialty Care. She was the middle child of 3 brothers and 6 sisters that were born to Rolla and Edith Bailey. She was born on July 29, 1926 in New Boston, Missouri. Lois attended grades 1-12 in Brookfield, Missouri. Soon after graduation, Lois met the love of her life, Ronald McDannald at an old-fashioned pie auction in October 1945 and the pair settled in Shelby, Missouri as farmers and were blessed with 6 children. In 1966, Lois and Ronald made the move to Seymour, Iowa where they worked for Seymour Schools until her retirement in 1992. Lois and Ronald were happily married for 64 years. Lois is survived by her children: Michael (Judy) of Unionville, Missouri, Kevin (Debbie) of Corydon, Iowa, Brad (Sharon) of Rhome, Texas and Chris (Bev) of Seymour, Iowa; sister, Ina Mae (Lyle) of Liberty, Missouri and brother, Marvin (Virginia) of Independence, Missouri. She is also remembered by 20 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren as 'Grandma Mac' along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald; son, Darrell; daughter, Nita Carol; granddaughter, Kassie Smith; five sisters: Mabel Jamison, Waverly Schmidt, Carolyn Williams, Neva Quaza and Arlene King and two brothers: Delbert and Kenneth Bailey. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. Interment will immediately follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Brookfield, Missouri.
