Lloyd Salladay's Obituary
Lloyd Salladay, 77 of Moulton passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at his home. Lloyd was born to Kenneth & Elaine (Dixon) Salladay on March 12, 1941 in Centerville, Iowa. Lloyd was a farmer for the majority of his life. He worked for a time at Farm Service but trucking and farming was his life. Lloyd was united in marriage on October, 1960 to Marcella Cline, they would later divorce. He met Sharon Nash in 1992 and she moved to the area in 1995, they have been life partners ever since. Lloyd enjoyed farming, gardening, driving his semi, boating and camping at Lake Rathbun. He and Sharon enjoyed trucking together and going to the casino. When Lloyd was a young man, he received a call from the Kansas City A's who wanted him to make the trip down and host a tryout for him. Due to illness in the family, he choose to stay home and take care of both his family and the farm. Survivors include his life partner, Sharon Nash, son, Flint Salladay (Penny), grandchildren: Austin Salladay (Zoe), Autumn Starr (Justin), great grandchildren: Bentley and Gentry Starr, siblings: Shirley Ruggles (David), Judy Callahan (Bill), Kenny Salladay (Christy), Janice Sturms (Dennis), Mike Salladay and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Lloyd has been cremated per his wishes. His family will hold a private ceremony in his honor at a later date.
