Lloyd Richmond's Obituary
Lloyd H. Richmond, 92 of Centerville died Monday March 15, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. He was born to Noah and Zena (Roland) Richmond at Cincinnati on March 16, 1911. He married Mary C. Highbarger she preceded him in death.
Lloyd worked in the coal mines and was the Fire Chief, Town Marshall Street Commissioner and grave digger in Cincinnati, he was a member of the First Christian Church in Cincinnati. Lloyd is survived by a daughter Kathy Terrell and her husband Ron of Centerville, 2 Grandchildren; Lisa King and her husband Calvin of Centerville and Jamie Jobe Terrell of Corydon, two great grandchildren; Lacy Nicole King and Jaden King; two step-great grandchildren Ashley Riggs and Sarah O'Hare; one sister Dorothy Norton of Mexico, Mo, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Mary, parents; brother Clyde Richmond and a sister Naomi Scott. Funeral Services will be held, Friday, 1:30 p.m. at Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Patrick Doherty officiating, burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati. Visitation will be all day Thursday with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at Thomas Lange Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to the First Christian Church in Cincinnati which can be left at or mailed to Thomas Lange Funeral Home 1900 S. 18th St. Centerville, Iowa 52544
