Lisa Michelle Zierke's Obituary
Lisa Michelle Zierke, age 41, of North Liberty, Iowa and a former Centerville, Iowa resident, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2009 at the Hospice House in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Lawrence and Kathy (Klum) Labertew on July 22, 1967 in Bloomfield, Iowa. She graduated from Centerville High School in 1985 and attended Northeast Missouri State University and Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo. On September 3, 1988, she married Curt Zierke in Centerville, Iowa. In 1990, they moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. They lived in the area until 2004, when they moved to North Liberty, Iowa. She was preceded in death by: her grandfathers, Ned Klum and Ralph Labertew; and a grandmother, Elva Hibbs.Lisa is survived by: her husband, Curt Zierke and their son Dylan Zierke both of North Liberty, Iowa; her mother, Kathy Labertew of Salt Lake City, Utah; her father, Lawrence Labertew of West Frankfort, Illinois; brother, Michael Labertew (Kimberley) of Park City, Utah; her grandmother, Mary Klum of Centerville, Iowa; brothers-in-laws Chad Zierke (Jodi) of Lincoln, Nebraska and Shannon Zierke of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Paul Bristow (Kelly) of Tripola, lowa; sisters-in-law, Michelle Davis (Don Hutchcroft) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Niki Clements of Cedar Falls, Iowa; mother-in-law, Ann Zierke of Cedar Falls, Iowa; aunts and uncles, Jane and Ray Cassatt of Centerville, Iowa and Robbie and Nancy Klum of Moulton, Iowa, Debbie and Richard Molzer of Lake Worth, Florida and Roger and Carol Labertew, Centerville, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Ken Mehrhoff officiating. Burial of her ashes will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 6 from 1 pm till 8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home with the family present from 5 pm till 8 pm at the funeral home.Memorials can be made to Hospice of Mercy and left at or mailed to the funeral home.
