Lisa Starr's Obituary
Lisa Susan Starr, age 52, of Carlisle, Iowa and a former Moulton area resident, died Sunday, July 12, 2015 at her home in Carlisle. She was born the daughter of George Trenton and Joanne (Crawford) Starr on October 28, 1962 in Centerville, Iowa. She graduated from the Moulton-Udell High School in 1981, then attended and graduated from Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa.She has worked most of her adult life for the State of Iowa and for over 26 years as Information Technology Specialist. She so loved taking care of her family, especially her pride and joy, her son, Caleb along with her cats.She was preceded in death by: her father, George Trenton Starr on October 2, 2012; her father-in-law, John Whalen; and her brother-in-law, Fred Adair.Lisa is survived by: her husband, Shawn Whalen of Carlisle, Iowa; her son, Caleb Whalen of Carlisle, Iowa; her mother, Joanne Starr of Bloomfield, Iowa; her brothers, Trenton Starr and his wife, Teresa of Mt. Vernon, Iowa and Terry Starr and his wife, Melissa of Bloomfield, Iowa; a sister, Laurie Adair of Penitas, Texas; and her mother-in-law, Bonnie Whalen of Eldora, IowaFuneral services will be held at 10 am, Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Andy Veith officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset View Cemetery north of Moulton, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 2 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home with the family present from 6 pm until 8 pm.Memorials can be made to Caleb's College Fund and can be left or mailed to the funeral home.
