Linda Jane Maddy's Obituary
Linda Jane Maddy, 77 of Mystic, Iowa passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026 at her home under the care of EveryStep Hospice surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on April 10, 1948 in Oskaloosa, Iowa to the late George and Irene (Carlson) Tesinsky. She graduated from Eddyville High School in 1966.
Linda met the love of her life Stanley Maddy in Kindergarten and they were united in marriage on August 31, 1968 at the Lutheran Church in Oskaloosa, Iowa. To this union they welcomed two sons, Keane and Jason.
Linda was known for her kind spirit and compassion. She worked for 40 years at Double R Dairy Bar where she spent many years working with people of many ages. Linda loved her work family dearly. Linda was so kind to the young kids that worked at the Double R. Often people who worked with her over the years will speak of how wonderful she was to work with and how she patiently taught them the skills needed for the job.
Linda loved sewing, crafting and gardening along with caring for her horse Two Bits. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was her most cherished times.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley of Mystic ; two sons, Keane (Bobbie) of Mystic and Jason (Stacey) of Oskaloosa; bonus son, Kevin (Talia) Brown of Lamoni; grandchildren, Shannie Maddy, Hunter (Ashlee) Maddy, Rhiley Maddy, Kamryn Maddy and Bryson Maddy; great-grandchildren, Alayna, Catelyn, and Sonny Cormeny; sisters, Georgia (Ben) Comer of Floris and Shirley Richards of Ottumwa; sisters in law, Liz Childs, brother-in-law, Steven (Sally) Maddy along with several nieces and nephews. Also, her extended Double R family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Anna Brown, brother-in-law, Richard Brown and mother-in-law Norma Hewitt.
Per Lindas wishes, cremation has been accorded. Celebration of Life for Linda will be held Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa.
